Sea turtles are one of the most revered and loved animals of SW Florida and Michael Ray loves them too.
Michael Ray is a glass artist that specializes in dichroic vortex glass marbles and sculpture. Born in the California Bay area but raised in Oregon, one of the nations’ true glass epicenters, Michael found great mentors for what became his life passion. After several trips to Hawaii and experiencing swimming with sea turtles his love for these fantastic marine reptiles started and he began creating glass sea turtles in addition to his amazing vortex marbles
When visiting the state of Florida he realized that there was a deep culture around sea turtles so he began looking for galleries to represent his work. Happily he found Things I Like by Catherine in Naples in the Bayshore Art District.
