Meet the fabulous women of Bayshore Drive making it Naples’ coolest neighborhood
As the proud owner of a contemporary art gallery nestled in the heart of the Bayshore Arts District, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformation of this once-neglected area into a thriving hub of creativity and community. And let me tell you, it’s been nothing short of inspiring.
Let’s start with Karen Beatty, a true pioneer whose passion for preserving Old Florida charm has helped shape the identity of Bayshore Drive. As chair of the advisory committee for the Bayshore Gateway Triangle’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Karen has been instrumental in advocating for arts and culture as essential components of our neighborhood’s revitalization efforts.
Then there’s Siobhan Harvey Cleveland, the fearless owner of The Real Macaw, who has continued her mother’s legacy of resilience and determination. Despite the challenges the neighborhood has faced in the past, Siobhan’s unwavering commitment to authenticity and community has helped establish Bayshore Drive as a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
And of course, we can’t forget about Diane Sullivan, whose entrepreneurial spirit and vision have played a significant role in Bayshore Drive’s economic resurgence. Diane’s decision to invest in the neighborhood has paid off in spades, with her brokerage thriving and contributing to the area’s newfound vibrancy.
Next, there’s Amanda Jaron, whose Bayshore fine jewelry showroom is a testament to her creativity and passion for art. Her commitment to preserving Bayshore’s unique charm is evident in every aspect of her business, from the stunning mural adorning her building to the eclectic array of jewelry on display.
As for Rebecca Maddox, she’s been a driving force behind Bayshore Drive’s transformation into a hub of creativity and innovation. Through her ventures, including Celebration Park and Rebecca’s Wine Bar, Rebecca has fostered a sense of community that’s truly unparalleled.
Lastly, they highlight myself, Catherine Ehrenberger, the owner of Things I Like By Catherine… Highlighted as “From C-suite executive in Basel, Switzerland to Bayshore gallerist” and encapsulating her journey to Naples, opening ““Things I Like by Catherine,” one of the coolest spaces anywhere in Naples.”
As I reflect on the incredible journey of Bayshore Drive and the remarkable women who have helped shape its identity, I’m filled with gratitude and admiration. These women have not only transformed our neighborhood but have also inspired countless others to pursue their passions and make a difference in their communities.
So here’s to the women of Bayshore Drive – may your vision, resilience, and creativity continue to inspire us all. And to everyone reading this, I invite you to join us in celebrating their contributions and exploring the rich history and exciting future of Naples’ coolest neighborhood. Trust me, there’s something special waiting for you on Bayshore Drive.
Until next time, Catherine
